Message from the Principal
It is the start of a new school year, and a really special one for the Alexandra Community School Community! We have moved into a beautiful new building and are ready for the best year yet. At Alexandra we focus on character building and academics; working to provide our students with a positive and nurturing environment.
This year we will continue such initiatives as the House System, in which students from kindergarten to grade 8 are assigned to one of 5 Houses. The students participate in special activities and events as members of this House, and work to earn points for their House. Last year we held two special days with great success. Students also gain or lose points based on behaviour, invovlement and task completion. As the school year unfolds we will be assigning points and tracking the results during our monthly assemblies. These provide a wonderful opportunity to showcase the accomplishements of our students and to build the idea of a community. Alexandra students are encouraged to get involved and to work hard on a daily basis. Our goal at Alexandra is to assist our students in becoming all that they can be.
